Help make pajamas for Christmas Sharing
PAJAMA SEWERS NEEDED! -- Pajamas kits are available for you to pick up at the Northfield Community Action Center Clothes Closet. The Clothes Closet is open Tuesday through Friday 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Thursday 9:00-7:00 p.m. and Saturday 9:00-12:00 noon. The kits contain pre-cut fabric and sewing instructions, all you need to supply is the thread and elastic.
PAJAMA CUTTERS NEEDED! Each year, the CAC distributes pajamas to children ages 0 – 18 through the Christmas Sharing program. These pajamas are sewn by volunteers in the community and to have an adequate selection in each size it is necessary to make about 900 pair a year! To help make the pajama part of Christmas Sharing possible, ready-to-sew kits are assembled for our volunteer sewers. This is how you can help… We need volunteers to help with cutting and assembling the sleepwear kits on Tuesday mornings from 9:00-12:00 noon on October 21 & 28 and November 11 & 18. All cutting sessions will be held at the United Methodist Church, 1401 S. Maple Street.
