Thanks to everyone who participated in Kindness Week this year. We heard great stories of strangers paying for the food of the car behind them at a number of drive thru restaurants. We also heard the students and staff of St. Dominic School really embraced Kindness Week and it spread throughout the school. Kelly Maroney writes “St. Dominic School celebrated kindness this week in many ways. Students and staff posted acts of kindness that were seen around the school or at home on our Kindness Zone bulletin board for all to see. At mass this week, the 7th graders focused on the spirit of love. Afterwards, each student and staff were given a heart with the words “The spirit of love is here” and were encouraged to give the heart to someone who showed love or post it somewhere that love was shown. Our school had lots of hearts all around! Amidst all the love was giving. The 1st graders led a service project called Pennies for Patients, which raises money for leukemia. Together with the school, they raised over $800 for the cause!”

Way to go St. Dominic School and everyone who participated. Kindness Week might be over this year, but any day is a good day for an act of kindness…pass it on.
